I really enjoy their sushi and the staff are usually quite pleasant! The restaurant is clean and pleasantly decorated inside. It's definitely worth a try if you're in the area!
I was very pleasantly surprised with the delicious flavor and price of this Lunch Special!!!!! I placed a pick up order from Sumo in Patchogue at the end of RTE101-Sills Rd. The person on the phone was very pleasant and when I went to pick up they had my food thoughtfully packaged and ready to go in the time they said it would be. It was absolutely DELICIOUS- HOT- FULL OF FLAVOR and the best is the Harumaki Spring Rolls were still HOT & CRISPY when I got it home!!! When you work from home you definitely miss "going to lunch", and you tend to just settle for what's around. Some of my go-to Deli's have gotten increasingly disappointing and expensive so I stopped "treating myself" to that occasional delivery lunch. I ordered the LUNCH SPECIAL - Vegetable Pad Thai and it came with a nice side salad, & I added the Harumkaki appetizer. For UNDER $20 I had a Delicious & Generous sized lunch- This will be my new go-to for sure!!! Thank you SUMO you're awesome ... this lunch ROCKS!!! I'll be back soon- Have a Beautiful & Blessed day!
Attended an event near by & decided to come in here after. We were greeted & seated right away. Right away it felt like a family owned, right at home atmosphere & I liked that! You can tell a lot of guest were locals, the staff was engaging in conversation. To start we had the rock shrimp which is not your typical rock shrimp. It was regular shrimp with a salad in the middle. However the flavor was 10/10! The sweet and spice blended perfectly. The portion was pretty big& definitely enough to share. My son got California roll and shrimp avocado which were good. We had the Hurricane, patchouge, the Lady Gaga and the tropical & they were all delicious.
Sushi and hibachi dishes were very good. Sukiyaki was not as good as it seemed to be more of a soup than actual sukiyaki (my mother is Japanese and makes this dish so I know what it is suppose to resemble). Great Chef at the hibachi table - very entertaining! Excellent service. Found the prices to be very reasonable for the quality of the food. Would highly recommend
Amazing service! I had barely set my empty cup down before someone came over to refill it. Food is always incredible and fresh, no matter what you order. Consistently high quality and delicious.
I've been going to Sumou for quite some time now and it never disappoints! They have great prices and food quality is great. The service is always on point too.
I ordered a large order over the phone and asked if they could separate the food by person. When the order was picked up, we got 4 separate bags (1 bag per person). They had separated the food according to the order I had given them and did not make any mistakes. We didn't have to guess whose roll belonged to who. Besides of course, everything tasting great and being presented beautifully - the fact that they did the separating that I asked - made everything perfect. We have gone to the restaurant for about 18 years (eating in or ordering take out) and we certainly love it for many reasons. The restaurant is always clean and the service is excellent. Thank you for making this another memorable and delicious experience.
I've been eating Keto for several months and was HUNGRY last night. Sumou was on my way home so I stopped. I was not able to dine in due to the hour, it was not a problem for me, totally understandable. I ordered the 2 special rolls advertised on their board: pumpkin roll and October roll. I cannot find what they are made of but I highly recommend them. I also ordered the Kani Salad which I dug into once in my car. The rolls are large and were difficult to pick up and virtually disintegrated when dipped (not soaked) in the soy sauce. Since I was eating at home I didn't find this problematic, I would have been disappointed if I was eating at the restaurant. I like the atmosphere and decor but it seemed that it would be noisy when fully seated. I recommend and will be dining in at my next opportunity.
Went to grab sushi i got two Shrimp Tempura rolls and edamame I called over the phone so it was ready when I got there was greeted by the host who gave me my food. This restaurant maintains a clean and comfortable dining experience for everyone - #foodieztm
